Al-Naba’ constantly provides news reports lauding ISIS’ arson attacks on vehicles, homes, villages, farms and crops, barracks and other installations and property.

An infographic at 150:12 is dedicated to the subject. It outlines methods and potential targets and the advantages in setting fire to things. Methods include lighting fires close together in wooded areas, using Molotov cocktails, pouring flammable liquids to help fires spread and starting fires remotely using timing devices. Suggested targets include homes, woods close to homes – especially in periods of dry weather – farms, shopping malls and business interests, tall buildings, warehouses, petrol stations and vehicles. The “benefits” or pros of starting fires include no need for training or banned substances, the damage done to property and sending the unbelievers into a “spiral of financial losses” by forcing them into extra firefighting measures, and spreading fear and chaos. The page also encourages ISIS followers to publicize the reasons for their actions so that the unbelievers “know that the fires they have brought down on the heads of Muslims will come back on them”.

The page, titled الإحراق, is part 2 of three infographics called “To Followers of the Caliphate in the Field” (إلى أنصار الخلافة في الميدان). Part 1 at 147:12 has no subject headline and addresses a range of aspects related to strategy, planning and faith. Part 3 at 152:12 is headlined الإستدراج and addresses ways of luring the enemy to sites in order to attack them.

A half page infographic at 478:7 repeats much of the same text found at 150:12, while the editorial at 478:3 addresses the wildfires that caused destruction in California in January 2025.
